All Pokémon Go Mythic Blade Something Extraordinary Special Research tasks and rewards

The first true adventure of the Mythical Wishes season of content in Pokémon Go is now underway, with the Mythic Blade event bringing the Swords of Justice back to the game and introducing Keldeo for the first time.

Running from Dec. 6 to 11, players will encounter an increased number of Fighting-type Pokémon, including the first appearance of Crabrawler and its evolution Crabominable. 

Most of these encounters will be split between normal and boosted spawns, with the latter requiring players to grab the Something ExtraordinarySpecial Research story ticket for $7.99. This will also unlock a number of event bonuses and the chance to encounter Keldeo (Ordinary Form) as it makes its debut.

Along with that ticketed Special Research, the Mythic Blade event will also feature some exclusive Field Research and a new Collection Challenge. All Pokémon GO Mythic Blade Field Research Challenges & Rewards

Pokémon GO is popping off with the Mythical Wishes season that is currently going on. There are so many new and different Pokemon for players to catch, with lots of events that will happen during this time.

One of the events that will happen is the Mythic Blade event, which highlights the Mythical Pokemon Keldeo. Of course, a new event means there will be event-themed Field Research tasks to take care of. Here, we will go over the Field Research tasks and what rewards you can expect from them.

All Pokémon GO Mythic Blade Field Research Tasks & Rewards

Pokémon GO allows you to take on field research tasks to get special Pokémon that are normally harder to find. These field research tasks can be done at any time, but event-themed field research tasks will only last for the duration of the event. The Mythic Blade event will last from December 6 until December 11 .

During this period, there will be three different event field research tasks you will need to take on. Here are the special research tasks that you can get during the Mythic Blade event in Pokémon GO:

• Catch 7 Fighting-type Pokémon - Rewards are Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop
• Catch 15 Fighting-type Pokémon  - Reward is Galarian Farfetch'd
• Power up Pokémon 15 times - Reward is Galarian Farfetch'd

As you can see, most of the Field Research you will be doing relates to fighting-type Pokémon. So if you make your main focus catching and powering up fighting Pokémon, you will be able to get all the rewards with no problem.

Can I Get Shiny Pokémon For Completing Mythic Blade Field Research?

Although the rewards for the Mythic Blade event field research look bland at first glance, there is a good reason why you would want to complete these tasks. Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, and Glarian Farfetch'd all have a chance to be Shiny Pokémon .

That is four more Pokémon that you could potentially add to your Shiny Pokémon collection. Of course, it is only a chance to get a shiny Pokémon. You will still have to get a little lucky actually to find the Shiny version of these Pokémon. Luckily, the field research tasks you are asked to do should not be hard to do.

During the Mythic Blade challenge in Pokémon GO, there will be a lot of wild Fighting-type Pokémon . Mankey, Machop, and Combusken are just some of the wild Fighting-type Pokémon you will encounter. So we recommend you take on as many event field research tasks as possible to get your shiny Pokémon in no time. That's all about the Pokémon GO Mythic Blade Challenge.

Trying to finish the Shadowy Skirmishes Special Research in Pokemon GO? Here's how you can do it, and what your rewards will be.

The Mythical Wishes season in Pokemon GO is approaching a conclusion and Niantic has introduced new Special Research centered around Team GO Rocket for you to complete before that end comes. The Team GO Rocket leaders of Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra, as well as the boss Giovanni, are back with another batch of Shadow Pokemon that you can save from their clutches and catch as part of the Shadowy Skirmishes Special Research.

The Shadowy Skirmishes Special Research is the latest in the line of previous Special Researches that allowed you to take on Giovanni and get some Shadow variations of legendaries like Mewtwo and more in the past. This time around your ultimate reward for defeating Giovanni will be Shadow Registeel , but there are plenty of other tasks and rewards involved as well. By logging into Pokemon GO anytime before the end of the Mythical Wishes season on March 1 at 10am local time , you will collect the Shadowy Skirmishes Special Research . Unlike the concurrent Valentine's Day Timed Research, you will have plenty of time to complete this one, though you will still want to try to get it done as soon as you can regardless.

Shadowy Skirmishes Special Research Tasks And Rewards

This latest Team GO Rocket-themed Special Research consists of five total steps of three tasks each for you to complete. The fifth of these doesn't have anything for you to do besides claim your rewards though, so it is really only four steps long.

• Defeat 6 Team GO Rocket Grunts - Helioptile encounter
• Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws in a row - Helioptile encounter
• Earn 2 Candies exploring with your buddy - Helioptile encounter

• Defeat 6 Team GO Rocket Grunts - 2x Hyper Potions

Finishing the Shadowy Skirmishes Special Research is not overly difficult, but is a bit time-consuming with the multiple battles required to complete it. At the release of this research, there were more Team GO Rocket members spawning, but that has since gone away as a result of Valentine's event. Even so, they will be spawning at their usual regularity still.

While this is a Special Research that you can finish in the future, make sure to remember to grab it before the end of the Mythical Wishes season on March 1 at 10:00 am local time.

In Feb. 2023, a set of Masterwork Research dropped in Pokémon Go, rewarding a Shiny Jirachi to those who complete it. “Wish Granted” is a lengthy set of Special Research made to keep you busy for a while, just like the Johto Masterwork Research from the previous year.

In order to get these tasks, you’ll need to buy the “Masterwork Research: Wish Granted” pass in the shop for $4.99 . You can only purchase the pass up until March 20, but once you buy and start it, there is no time limit for completing it. This makes sense, as the tasks in the set should take the average player weeks, if not months, to complete.

Note that a different version of this research was made available to players who attended the Go Tour: Hoenn event in Las Vegas, but we list the steps to the global version below.

Wish Granted step 1 of 6

• Catch 385 Pokémon from the Kanto region (385 XP)
• Catch 385 Pokémon from the Johto region (385 XP)
• Catch 385 Pokémon from the Hoenn region (385 XP)
• Get a Gold Hoenn Medal (30 Ultra Balls)

Rewards : 10 Kyogre Candy, 10 Groudon Candy, and 10 Rayquaza Candy

You need to register 90 different Pokémon from the Hoenn region to get the Gold Hoenn Medal.

Masterwork Research ‘Wish Granted’ rewards: Is it worth buying?

Whether or not this research is “worth” buying is almost entirely dependent on how much you value Shiny Jirachi. This will likely be the only way to obtain Shiny Jirachi in this game, but the other rewards are obtainable through other means.

The Mythic Blade event has arrived in Pokémon Go , bringing with it a cool new Mythical Pokémon!

These events often come with a selection of challenges and bonuses, and the appearance of the Colt Pokémon is no different. You can complete a Mythic Blade Collection Challenge and collect a selection of event-exclusive field research tasks throughout this short Pokémon Go event, and a ticketed Special Research featuring Ordinary Form Keldeo for those who wish to partake.

Along with a selection of themed Pokémon making their appearance during the Mythic Blade event, Crabrawler will be making its Pokémon Go debut!

Mythic Blade Collection Challenge Pokémon List in Pokémon Go

Mythic blade field research tasks in pokémon go, everything else you need to know about the mythic blade event in pokémon go.

The Mythic Blade Collection Challenges tasks you with finding a set of specific Pokémon during this short Pokémon Go event.

Remember – you must complete this challenge before 8pm (local time) on Sunday, 11th December or else you won’t be able to collect its rewards.

Here are the Pokémon, arranged in National Pokédex order, in the Mythic Blade Collection Challenge, along with how to catch them:

• Machop – In the wild and Team Go Rocket battles
• Machoke – Evolve a Machop with 25 Candy
• Galarian Farfetch’d – Event-exclusive field

Complete this Collection Challenge and you’ll earn one Fast TM and one Charged TM.

The World of Wonders season has come to Pokémon Go, which has brought the World of Wonders quest. Don't forget to try out Routes , Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon , fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases .

The Mythic Blade event may be fairly short, running from Tuesday, December 6th 10am (local time) to Sunday, December 11th at 8pm (local time) , but it comes with some several event-exclusive field research tasks that you can collect by spinning PokéStops in Pokémon Go.

Completing event-exclusive tasks, shown by the orange highlights in the Field view, will reward you with event-themed Pokémon. These frequently sit outside the normal spawn pool and become much rarer after the event.

Although these tasks can be saved and completed after the event ends, we recommend completing them during the Mythic Blade event as the Pokémon encounters you earn may help you complete the Collection Challenge.

Here are the Mythic Blade field research tasks in Pokémon Go:

• Power up Pokémon 15 times reward – Galarian Farfetch’d encounter
• Catch 15 Fighting-type Pokémon reward – Galarian Farfetch’d encounter
• Catch 7 Fighting-type Pokémon reward – Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan or Hitmontop encounter

On top of the above Mythic Blade Collection Challenge and the event-exclusive research tasks, the Mythic Blade event brings a host of additional benefits and things to be excited about.

Players who buy a ticket to the event ($7.99 or the local equivalent pricing tier) will be able to catch the Mythical Pokémon Keldeo .

The spawn pool will be slightly different during the event, and the following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild: Mankey, Machop, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Combusken, Makuhita, Meditite and Monferno . Poliwrath and the newly released Crabrawler will be rare spawns.

Raids will also be slightly different, and will feature several Pokémon that are both popular in Go Battle League. You can expect to see the following raids during the event:

• One-Star : Meditite , Buizel, Timburr and Tympole
• Three-Star : Poliwrath, Aerodactyl, Skarmory and Breloom
• Five-Star : Terrakion and Virizion (both will know the exclusive Charged move Sacred Sword)
• Mega : Mega Aggron

Keldeo fans can head to the store to purchase themed outfits for their avatar. Ticket-holding players will receive a Keldeo T-Shirt avatar item as part of the Special Research line.

Lastly, there will be special Incense encounters for ticket-holding players, with the following Pokémon appearing more frequently. Non-ticket-holders will have access to the regular Incense spawn pool:

Of these, Beldum will be the chase Pokémon, due to its strength in Master League and raids alike.
