خاتم الانبیاء صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اعلان نبوت کو23سال پورے ہونے کو تھے ، حج کامہینہ بالکل قریب آن پہنچا تھا۔ رسول اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے 23سالہ دور رسالت کی ہمہ جہت تعلیمات کا خلاصہ پیش فرمانا چاہ رہے تھے ،چنانچہ دین کی جامع ترین عبادت حج کا ارادہ کیا ،اطرافِ مکہ میں آپ کی آمد کی اطلاع پہنچی، تمام قبیلوں کے سردار اور نمائندگان اپنے اپنے قبائل کے افراد کے ہمراہ اس عظیم اجتماع میں جمع ہونا شروع ہو گئے ، مسلمانانِ عرب کے بڑے بڑے قافلے جوق در جوق مکۃ المکرمہ جانے لگے ۔ 26 ذوالقعدہ 10 ہجری اتوار کے دن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے غسل فرماکر احرام کی چادر اور تہبند باندھا،نماز ظہر کی ادائیگی کے بعدمدینہ سے مکہ کی طرف سفر شروع فرمایا۔ ازواج مطہرات بھی آپ کے ہمراہ تھیں۔

مدینہ سے چھ میل کے فاصلے پر ذوالحلیفہ جو مدینہ منورہ کی میقات ہے وہاں پہنچ کر شب بھر قیام فرمایا۔ اس کے بعد دو نفل ادا فرمائے، احرام کی نیت فرمائی اور قصویٰ اونٹنی پر سوار ہوکر بلند آواز میں تلبیہ پڑھی لبیک اللھم لبیک لبیک لا شریک لک لبیک ان الحمد و النعمۃ لک و الملک لا شریک لک لبیک: ’’اے اللہ ہم تیرے سامنے حاضر ہیں، اے اللہ تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں، ہم حاضر ہیں، تعریف اور نعمت سب تیری ہی ہے اور سلطنت میں تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں۔ ‘‘ سفر جاری رہا ، مکہ مکرمہ کے قریب وادی فاطمہ میں پہنچ کر غسل فرمایا۔تقریباً آٹھ دن کا سفر طے کرنے کے بعد 4ذی الحج10ہجری کو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سوا لاکھ صحابہ کرام کی کثیر تعداد کے جلو میں مکۃ المکرمہ داخل ہوئے۔بیت اللہ پر نگاہ پڑی تو فرمایا ’’ اے اللہ اس گھر کی عزت و شرف کومزید دوبالافرما‘‘ پھر بیت اللہ کا طواف ادا کیا، پہلے تین چکروں میں رمل (خوب کندھا ہلاکر اور اکڑ کر چلنے کو کہتے ہیں) کے ساتھ اور باقی چار چکر عام چال سے پورے فرمائے۔ طواف سے فارغ ہوکر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مقام ابراہیم پر تشریف لائے۔ اور یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی : واتخذوا من مقام ابراہیم مصلیٰ۔ترجمہ: اور مقام ابراہیم کو سجدہ گاہ بناؤ‘‘ اس مقام پر دو نفل ادا کیے، پہلی رکعت میں سورۃ الکافرون اور دوسری میں سورۃ اخلاص پڑھی۔ اس کے بعد صفا مروہ پر سعی کے لیے تشریف لے گئے۔ سات چکر ادا کرنے کے بعد اعلان فرمایا : جن کے پاس قربانی کے جانور ہیں وہ احرام نہ کھولیں اور باقی لوگ حجامت بنوا کراحرام کھول دیں۔ اس موقع پر حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ جنہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یمن سے قربانی کے اونٹ لانے کے لیے بھیجا تھا وہ ایک سو اونٹ اور یمن کے حجاج کا قافلہ لے کر تشریف لائے۔ جمعرات 8ذی الحجہ صبح سورج طلوع ہونے کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم منیٰ تشریف لے گئے جہاں ظہر، عصر، مغرب ،عشاء اور نو ذی الحج کی فجر کی نماز ادا فرمائی۔ جمعہ کے دن 9 ذی الحجہ منیٰ سے عرفات کو روانہ ہوئے۔ نمرہ میں کمبل کا ایک خیمہ نصب کیا گیا وہاں قیام فرمایا، زوال کے وقت اونٹنی قصویٰ پر سوار ہوکر میدان عرفات میں تشریف لائے اور اونٹنی پر ہی خطبہ ارشاد فرمایا۔یہ خطبہ اسلام کے دعوتی اسلوب،نظریاتی افکار ،اخلاقی تعلیمات ، انسانی حقوق اور معاشرتی نظام کے جامع دستور العمل کی حیثیت رکھتاہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد و ثناء کے بعد ارشاد فرمایا:’’لوگو! میری باتیں سنو! شاید اگلے سال مجھے اور تمہیں ایسی محفل میں اکٹھے ہونے کا موقع نہ ملے۔ میں آج کے دن مسلمانوں کی جان و مال اور عزت و آبرو کو قیامت تک ایک دوسرے پر حرام کرتا ہوں۔ جس طرح تمہیں اس مہینے اور اس دن کا احترام ہے۔ اسی طرح تمہیں ایک دوسرے کے مال ، آبرو اور خون کا احترام کرنا چاہیے۔ کوئی چیز جو ایک بھائی کی جائز ملکیت میں ہے دوسرے پر حلال نہیں، جب تک کہ وہ خود اپنی خوشی سے اْسے نہ دے۔‘‘ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے قیامت کے دن احتساب کے بارے میں فرمایا: ’’یاد رکھو! ایک دن ہم سب کو مر کر خدائے تعالیٰ کے حضور میں حاضر ہونا ہے۔ جہاں ہر ایک سے اس کے اعمال کے بارے میں پوچھا جائے گا۔ ‘‘ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے غیر اسلامی رسوم کے بارے میں فرمایا: ’’لوگو! یاد رکھو زمانہ جاہلیت کی ہر رسم میرے قدموں کے نیچے ہے میں اسے ختم کرتا ہوں۔ زمانہ جاہلیت کے قتل و خون کے جھگڑے آج تک ختم کردیئے جاتے ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں سب سے پہلے میں خود ربیعہ بن حارث بن عبدالمطلب کے خون سے دستبردار ہوتا ہوں۔ ‘‘ اس خطبہ شریف میں حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسلامی مساوات کا درس دیا: ’’سب مسلمان بھائی بھائی ہیں۔ عربی کو عجمی پر اور عجمی کو عربی پر کوئی فضیلت حاصل نہیں۔ ہاں! صرف پرہیز گاری خدا کے نزدیک افضل ہے۔‘‘ کمزوروں کے حقوق کے بارے میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’غلاموں اور عورتوں کے تم پر حقوق ہیں۔ ان حقوق کا خاص خیال رکھو۔ عورتوں کے ساتھ نرمی اختیار کرو اور مہربانی سے پیش آؤ۔ غلاموں کو وہی کھلاؤ جو خود کھاتے ہو اور انہیں وہی لباس پہناؤ جو خود پہنتے ہو۔‘‘ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مزید فرمایا: ’’ہر شخص اپنے کیے کا خود ذمہ دار ہے۔ بیٹا باپ کا اور باپ بیٹے کے جرم کا ہرگز ذمہ دار نہیں۔ حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اطاعت امیر کا حکم دیا: ’’اگر کوئی حبشی کان کٹا غلام بھی تمہارا امیر ہو اور تم کو خدا کی کتاب کے مطابق لے چلے تو اس کی اطاعت اور فرمانبرداری کرو۔ ‘‘ حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ’’لوگو! نہ میرے بعد کوئی نبی آئے گا نہ نئی امت پیدا ہوگی۔ خوب سن لو! اپنے رب کی عبادت کرو، پانچوں وقت نماز پڑھو، رمضان کے روزے رکھو، مال کی زکوٰۃ خوشی خوشی ادا کرو، خانہ کعبہ کا حج کرو اور اپنے حاکموں کے فرمانبردار رہو۔ اس کی جزا یہ ہے کہ اپنے پروردگار کی جنت میں داخل ہوجاؤ گے۔ ‘‘ ’’اور میں تم میں دو چیزیں چھوڑے جارہا ہوں کہ اگر تم انہیں مضبوطی سے پکڑ لو گے تو کبھی گمراہ نہ ہوگے اور وہ ہیں کتاب اللہ اور اس کے نبی کی سنت۔‘‘ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ’’جو لوگ یہاں موجود ہیں وہ یہ باتیں غیر حاضر لوگوں تک پہنچادیں۔ ممکن ہے بعض سامعین کے مقابلے میں بعض غیر حاضر لوگ ان باتوں کو زیادہ اچھی طرح یاد رکھیں اور ان کی حفاظت کریں۔ ’’اے لوگو! اللہ تعالیٰ نے میراث میں سے ہر وارث کے لئے ثابت کردہ حصہ مقرر کیا ہے اور ایک تہائی مال سے زیادہ وصیت کرنا جائز نہیں ہے۔‘‘ ’’بچہ اس کا جس کے بستر پر (نکاح میں )تولد ہوا اور بدکار کے لئے پتھر! جس نے اپنے باپ کی بجائے کسی دوسرے کو باپ قرار دیا تو ایسے شخص پر اللہ اور فرشتوں اور تمام انسانوں کی طرف سے لعنت ہے۔ اس کے لئے قیامت کے دن کوئی عوض یا بدلہ نہ رکھا جائے گا۔‘‘ اس خطبہ میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے چار قابل احترام مہینوں کا بھی ذکر فرمایا یعنی ذی القعدہ، ذوالحجہ، محرم اور رجب۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے امانت کی ادائیگی کا حکم دیا: ’’جس کے قبضے میں کوئی امانت ہے تو اسے اس کے مالک کو ادا کردے۔‘‘ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سود کو حرام قرار دیا: ’’دور جاہلیت کا سود کالعدم کردیا گیا ہے البتہ تمہارے لئے اصل پر حق ہوگا۔ نہ تم کسی پر ظلم کر و نہ تم پر ظلم کیا جائے گا۔ سب سے پہلے میں اپنے چچا عباس بن عبدالمطلب کے سودی مطالبات کو کالعدم کرتا ہوں۔‘‘ خطبہ کے آخر میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے لوگوں سے پوچھا: ’’کیا میں نے تمہیں اللہ تعالیٰ کا پیغام پہنچادیا؟‘‘ سب نے بیک آواز جواب دیا آپ نے اپنا حق ادا کردیا۔ اس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنی انگلی آسمان کی طرف اٹھائی اور تین بار کہا: ’’اے خدا! تو گواہ رہنا، اے خدا! تم گواہ رہنا، اے خدا! تم گواہ رہنا۔ ‘‘ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پیغام کو ربیعہ رضی اللہ عنہ اپنی بلند آواز سے لوگوں تک پہنچارہے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم خطبہ سے فارغ ہوچکے تو جبرائیل امین اللہ عزوجل کی طرف سے یہ وحی لے کر نازل ہوئے: الیوم اکملت لکم دینکم واتممت علیکم نعمتی ورضیت لکم الاسلام دینا۔ ’’آج میں نے تمہارے لئے تمہارا دین مکمل کردیا اور تم پر اپنی نعمت پوری کردی اور تمہارے لئے اسلام کو بحیثیت دین پسند کرلیا۔ ‘‘حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ آیت سنی تو رونے لگے۔ اب حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سمجھ گئے تھے کہ حضور پاک صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اس دنیا سے الوداع ہونے والے ہیں۔ مختصراً یہ کہ اس خطبہ میں اصلاح عقائد و اعمال ، اتفاق و اتحاد کا درس، جاہلانہ رسومات کی بیخ کنی ، سود کا خاتمہ، مکمل اور متوازن معاشی نظام کا تصور، صالح حاکم وقت کی اطاعت ، نسلی امتیاز، قومی ، علاقائی اور لسانی عصبیت اور رنگ و نسل کی برتری و کمتری کا خاتمہ فرمایا۔ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا یہ خطبہ امت کیلئے وصیت کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔ اس لیے ہمیں چاہیے کہ ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تعلیمات پر عمل پیرا ہو کر دنیا و وآخرت کی ساری کامیابیاں حاصل کرنے کی بھر پور کوشش کریں۔ خطبہ سے فارغ ہوکر حضرت بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کو اذان کا حکم دیا۔ پھر ظہر اور عصر کی نماز ایک ساتھ ادا فرمائی۔ پھر موقف میں تشریف لائے اور دیر تک قبلہ رو کھڑے ہوکر دعا میں مصروف رہے۔ جب سورج ڈوبنے لگا تو چلنے کی تیاری فرمائی۔ اسامہ بن زید کو اونٹ پر پیچھے بٹھالیا۔ مزدلفہ پہنچ کر مغرب اور عشاء کی نماز ادا فرمائی۔ رات آرام فرمانے کے بعد صبح نماز پڑھ کر سورج طلوع ہونے سے پہلے منیٰ واپس تشریف لائے اس وقت فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ اونٹنی پر پیچھے بیٹھے تھے۔ وادی محسر میں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو حکم دیا کہ مجھے کنکریاں چن دیں۔ جمریٰ عقبیٰ کی رمی سے فارغ ہوکر میدان منیٰ تشریف لائے، سید نا بلال رضی اللہ عنہ آپ کی اونٹنی کی مہارپکڑے ہوئے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سو اونٹوں کی قربانی کی۔ 63اونٹوں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دست مبارک سے نحر(اونٹ کے ذبح کا مخصوص طریقہ)کیے جبکہ37 سیدنا حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے۔ قربانی سے فارغ ہوکر معمر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سر مبارک منڈوایا۔ اسی موقع پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ابو طلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ اور ان کی بیوی ام سلیم کو اپنے دست مبارک سے کچھ بال عنایت فرمائے اور باقی ماندہ بال ابو طلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے تمام مسلمانوں میں ایک ایک دو دو کرکے تقسیم کردیے۔ اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے طواف زیارت کیا۔ چاہ زمزم پر تشریف لائے۔ سیدنا عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے ڈول میں پانی نکال کر پیش کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قبلہ رو ہوکر نوش فرمایا اور منیٰ واپس تشریف لے جاکر نماز ظہر ادا فرمائی۔ 13ذی الحجہ تک منیٰ میں قیام فرمایا۔ زوال کے بعد منیٰ سے چل کر وادی محصب (معابدہ) میں قیام کیا۔ رات وہاں بسر فرمائی اور سحری کے وقت مکہ تشریف لائے۔ بیت اللہ شریف کا الوداعی طواف کیا اور نمازفجر کی ادائیگی کے بعد واپس مدینہ طیبہ کے لیے سفر شروع فرمایا
