ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಿಂದ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಂತರದ ಶತಮಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಕನ್ನಡವು ಇತರ ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಂತೆ ಶಬ್ದಕೋಶ, ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಶೈಲಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಭಾವಿತವಾಯಿತು. ಅದರಂತೆ, ಕನ್ನಡವು ಇತರ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಲಿಪಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಲಿಪಿಯ ಬರವಣಿಗೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಫೋನೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇದು ಪಠ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಫೋನೆಮಿಕ್ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ

ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷಾ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಜನರು ಈ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು “ಸಿರಿಜ್ಞಾನ” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಸುಮಾರು ಕ್ರಿ.ಪೂ. 2500 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿತು, ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಬಳಕೆ ಕ್ರಿ.ಪೂ 1900 ರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಂತೆ ಕನ್ನಡವೂ ಕೂಡ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ತೆಲುಗು, ತಮಿಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಲಯಾಳಂ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೋಲುತ್ತದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಭಾವಿತವಾಗಿದೆ, ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಅನೇಕ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಅರ್ಥದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯು ಭಾರತದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿದೆ, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಈ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷಾ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಂಚದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ, ತಮಿಳು, ತೆಲುಗು, ಗುಜರಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಾಠಿ ಪಂಚದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಪಂಚದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ, ತಮಿಳು, ತೆಲುಗು, ಮಲಯಾಳಂ ಮತ್ತು ತುಳು ಸೇರಿವೆ. ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ ‘ತುಳು’ ಕನ್ನಡದ ದೃಢೀಕೃತ ಉಪಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಳು ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತುಳುವನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ, ಕನ್ನಡದ ಇತರ ಉಪಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಕೊಡಗು, ತೋಡ್, ಕೋಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬಡಗ. ಕೊಡಗನ್ನು ಕೂರ್ಗ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಉಳಿದ ಮೂರು ಉಪಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಲಗಿರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನೀಲಗಿರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ.

ರಾಮಾಯಣ-ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಲಿಖಿತ ರೂಪವಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಲಿಖಿತ ರೂಪವು ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಲ್ಮಿಡಿ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಳೆಯ ಶಾಸನವು ಕ್ರಿ.ಶ.450 ಆಗಿದೆ. ಏಳನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದ ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರವಣ ಬೆಳಗೊಳದ ಶಾಸನಗಳು ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿವೆ. 

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಎಂಟನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಳಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರದ ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವ್ಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಪದ್ಯದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾದರಿಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಭಾಷೆ ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವಲ್ಲಿ, ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದ ಆಳವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವವಿದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಎಂಟನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದವರೆಗಿನ ಶಾಸನಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಗದ್ಯ-ಪದ್ಯ-ರಚನೆಯ ಪುರಾವೆಗಳಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮೊದಲ ಉಪಲಬ್ಧ ಗ್ರಂಥವಾದ “ಕವಿರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗ” ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಂತರ, ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರವಾಗಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇತ್ತು.

ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಚರ್ಚೆಯ ವಿಷಯವೆಂದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ವ್ಯಾಕರಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಕೃತದ ಪ್ರಭಾವ. ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಪ್ರಾಕೃತವು ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಭಾಷೆ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿರುವ ಜನರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಮೂಲಗಳು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತವೆ (ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಆಡಳಿತ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸುವ ಮೊದಲು) ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಭಾವಿಸಿದೆ. ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ ಬಣ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಪದ ಬನ್ನ. ಬಣ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತ ಪದವು ವನ್ನಾ. ಪರಿಚಿತ ಧ್ವನಿ?

ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಕೃತಿಗಳು ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಾಷೆಯ ರೂಪಾಂತರದ ಹಂತಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದಿ, ಮರಾಠಿ, ಪಂಜಾಬಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್‌ನಂತಹ ಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಸಹ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಕಸನಗೊಂಡಿವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬದಲಾಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ.

ಪರಭಾಷೆ ನಮಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಅವಶ್ಯವೋ ಅಷ್ಟನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಳಸಬೇಕು ಅದು ಅತಿಯಾಗಬಾರದು. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹೇಗೆ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಈ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗಳ ಸಾರಾಂಶ.

“ಭಾರತದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಜನರು ನಮ್ಮ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮದೇ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ‘ದ್ವಿತೀಯ’ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ!”

ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು ಸಹ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಹರಡಬೇಕು. ಈಗ ಹಲವರು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು.

• ಕನ್ನಡದ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕದು ಎಂಬ ಕಿಳರಿಮೆ ಇಂದ ಹೊರಬನ್ನಿ..ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಎಂಬುದು ಇಟಲಿ, ಜರ್ಮನಿ ಯಷ್ಟೇ ದೊಡ್ಡದು..ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೆವೆ. ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ೨೩ನೇ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರಾಡೋ‌ ಭಾಷೆ ಇದು.
• ಕಿಳರಿಮೆ ತೊಡೆದ ನಂತರ, ಎಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುಷ್ಕಳವಾದ ನೇರವಾದ ಕನ್ನಡದಲೇ ಮಾತಾಡಿ.ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಲ ನಾವು ಆಡುವ ಸುತ್ತಿ ಬಳಸಿದ ಸಪ್ಪೆ ಕನ್ನಡ‌ ನಮಗೇ ಬೆಸರ ಉಂಟು‌ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
• ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಡಿಸ್ಕವರಿ, ಕಾರ್ಟೂನ್, ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಜಿಯೊಗ್ರಾಫಿಕ ಚಾನೆಲ್ ಕನ್ಬಡದಲಿ ನೊಡುವಂತಾಗಲು ಟಿ.ವಿ.ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್‌ ಲ್ಯಾಂಗ್ವೆಜ್ ಸೆಟ್ ಅಪ್ ನಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಂತ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ.
• ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಭಾಷೆಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ..ಅದರೆ ಗುಂಪಿನಲಿ ಯಾರೇ ಇರಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡವೇ ಬರಲಿ.
• ಕನ್ನಡಪರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳಿರಲಿ..ಅಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ‌ ಆನೆ‌ಬಲ‌ ಬರುವುದು..

ಇದು ಅತೀ‌ ಮಹತ್ವದ್ದು..ಅಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಮಣಿಸಲು, ವಲಸೆ ತಡೆಯಲು‌ ಇದೇ ಒಳರಣಸೂತ್ರ.

• ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯುಟ್ಯುಬ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್ ನಲಿ ಆದಷ್ಟು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಚಾನೆಲಗ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಂದಾದಾರರಾಗಿ.ಇದರಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ‌ ಕನ್ನಡ ಯುಟ್ಯುಬರ್ಸ ಗೆ ಹುರುಪು‌ ಸಿಗುತ್ತೆ.
• ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಅಲ್ಪತೃಪ್ತರು, ಅತೀ ಸಹಮತಿಗಳು ಎಂಬ ಹಣೆಪಟ್ಟಿ ಕಳಚುವಂತಾಗಲಿ.. ಕನ್ನಡ‌ ಸಿನಿಮಾನೇ ನೋಡಿ.

ಜಾಹಿರಾತುಗಳಲಿ ಪರಭಾಷಾ ನಟರು ಕಂಡೊಡನೆ ಆ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ಫೊನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ..ಕನ್ನಡ ನಟರನು‌ ಜಾಹಿರಾತಲಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿ.. ಕನ್ನಡ ಮೂಲದ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನೆ ಬಳಸಿ.

• ಕಸ್ಟಮರ್ ಕೆರ್ ನಲ್ಲಂತೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೆರೆ ಭಾಷೆ ಮಾತಾಡಲೆಬಾರದು.. ಎಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದರಲಿ ಸಿಗುವ ದತ್ತಾಂಶಗಳಿಂದಲೆ‌ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟ್, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೆವೆ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಭಾಷೆ , ಕನ್ನಡಗರ ಪುರೋಗಾಮಿತ್ವ ವನು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತವೆ…ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡ ರಾರಾಜಿಸಲೆಬೆಕು .

ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ ಉಳಿದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬೆಳೆದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು

ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವದು.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು ಸಹ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಹರಡಬೇಕು. ಈಗ ಹಲವರು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಮತ್ತು ನಾವು ವಿದ್ಯಾವಂತರು ಅಥವಾ ಉತ್ತಮ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ನಾವು ಈ ಪೊಳ್ಳು ವಾದದಿಂದ ಹೊರಬಂದು ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಕೆ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ಐಸಿಎಸ್ಇ ಅಥವಾ ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್ಇ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಇರಲಿ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

ಪಠ್ಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿರಬೇಕು, ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯು ತನ್ನ ೧೦ ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸುವ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅವನು / ಅವಳು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನನ್ನೂ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಸಿಬಿಎಸ್‌ಇ / ಐಸಿಎಸ್‌ಇ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು ಅನೇಕರು ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಂತವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಶಾಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಸರ್ಕಾರೀ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು

ಈಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಾಗವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕು. ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧನಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಇರಬೇಕು.

ಅಂತಹ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಧನ (100 ಅಥವಾ 200 ರೂ.) ನೀಡಬೇಕು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಅಂತಹ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಇರಬೇಕು.

ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು

ಕನ್ನಡವು ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಅದು ತೀರಾ ಕಡಿಮೆ.

ಆರ್ಟಿಫಿಶಿಯಲ್ ಇಂಟೆಲಿಜೆನ್ಸ್, ಕ್ವಾಂಟಮ್ ಮೆಕ್ಯಾನಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಆಧುನಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮುನ್ನೋಟ ತಂಡದ ಯುವ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿಗಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜನರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳು ಸಹ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬಹುದು. ಅಂತಹ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ, ಜನರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಖರೀದಿಸಿ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು.

ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲೇ ಹೊಸ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕು

ಮೊಬೈಲ್, ಚಾರ್ಜರ್, ಬ್ಲೂಟೂತ್, ವೈ-ಫೈ, ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನೇಕ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಪದಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ,

ಇದು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಕರು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ದಿನನಿತ್ಯದ ಸಂವಹನದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಓದುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ

ಭಾರತದ ಇತರ ಭಾಷಾ ಗುಂಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜನರು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳು, ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳು, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುವಾಗಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.

ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳು / ಮನರಂಜನೆ

ಕನ್ನಡವು ಬಲವಾದ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ಅಡಿಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಈಗ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ರಿಮೇಕ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ, ಡಬ್ಬಿಂಗ್ ಅನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬಾಹುಬಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಭಾರತೀಯನನ್ನು ತೆಲುಗಿನತ್ತ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳತ್ತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಬೇರೆಯವರನ್ನುಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಅಪ್ ಕಾಮಿಡಿ, ರಾಪ್ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಕ್, , ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ವೆಬ್ ಸರಣಿಗಳು ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಮನರಂಜನೆಗಳು ಬರಬೇಕಿದೆ, ಅದು ಈಗ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇದೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಹಳ ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದೆ, ಅದು ತುಂಬಾ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಬೇಕು.

ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪ್ರಭಾವ

ಕನ್ನಡದಿಂದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಲು ನಾನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಸಮತೋಲನ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಸರಳ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪದಗಳಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಕಠಿಣ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪದಗಳ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸೋಣ.

ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

“ಹೆಲ್ಮೆಟ್ ಧರಿಸಿ, ವಾಹನ ಚಲಾಯಿಸಿ” ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಮಿಶ್ರಿತಕನ್ನಡ

“ಹೆಲ್ಮೆಟ್ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು , ಗಾಡಿ ಓಡಿಸಿ” ಸರಳ ಕನ್ನಡ

ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಎರಡನೇ ಸಾಲನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲು ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬಹುದು.

ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸರಳವಾದ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಹೊರಗಿನವರು ಆಕರ್ಷಿತರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಕೋಚಿಂಗ್ ತರಗತಿಗಳು / ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ

ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಎರಡೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಸುವ ತರಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಖಿತ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಇದನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಇದನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆಯವರು ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಲು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಲಿಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಬರೆಯಲು ಬಳಸುವುದ

ಇದು ನನ್ನ ವಯುಕ್ತಿಕ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ. ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೋರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಕನ್ನಡ, ನಂತರ ಇಂಗಿಷ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಳಗೆ ರೋಮನ್ ಲಿಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಬಹುದು,

ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಲ್ಲದವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್‌ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆ ಅಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಬರುವಾಗ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಏನು ಕಷ್ಟ? ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ ಮಲಯಾಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ. ಎತ್ತ ಹೋದರೂ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
