Numbers in Hindi can be a little tricky in the beginning, but once you notice some of the regular patterns, you can remember them easily.  Below is a handy table of Hindi numbers from 1 to 100.

Some hints for you, we have some ending like “ ah ” (11-18), “is” (19 – 38s) and so on. Moreover, the prefixes remain same like “ cha ” in 14, 24, 34, 44, 54 and so on.

Counting Higher Hindi English Numbers

What are roman numbers 1 to 100 (roman numbers chart).

रोमन संख्यांक पद्धति का उद्गम प्राचीन रोम में हुआ था। और उत्तर मध्य युग में पूर्ण यूरोप में संख्याओं को लिखने का सामान्य तरीका बना। इस प्राचीन रोम संख्या प्रणाली में लातिनी भाषा के अक्षरों को जोड़कर संख्याएँ लिखी जाती थी। जो की इस तरह होती है।

जब IV लिखा जाता है तो यहाँ V का मतलब पाँच होता है और इसके बाएँ (Left) तरफ I (यानी 1) लिखने का मतलब है कि वह संख्या घटाई जा रही है। उदाहरण 5-1 = 4 होता है।

ठीक इसी प्रकार जहाँ VI लिखा जाता है तो यहाँ V का मतलब पाँच है और इसके दाएँ (Right) तरफ I लिखने का मतलब है कि वह संख्या जोड़ी जा रही है। उदाहरण 5+1 = 6 होता है।

रोमन अंकों की कमियाँ क्या हैं?

रोमन अंकों में शून्य नही होता है। और इनमें बड़ी संख्याओं को लिखना कठिन होता है। और इनमें बहुत अक्षर हो जाते हैं जिससे इनको समझने में भी समय लगता है। जैसे – 3888 को Roman में MMMDCCCLXXXVIII लिखा जाएगा जो कि काफी लंबा हो जाता है। और समझने में भी काफी समय लगता है।

Hindi Numbers

Hindi is the official language in India and the fourth most spoken language in the world. Hindi is used in almost every aspect of daily lives by more than 500 million people in the world. Hindi numerals are used in the basic athematic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions and fractions, and memorizing the multiplication table. Indians are pretty good with numbers and have superior mathematical skills. I have also found Chinese and people from SE Asia to be quite competent when it comes to basic Math skills. Does the language in which students at a tender age of 2 to 6 years make a difference in learning simple math metical concepts and help in understanding the deeper factors that shape their maths ability? All the relevant information about Hindi counting from one to hundred and how it differs from English counting is presented in this paper. This should be helpful to those who do not know the Hindi method of counting or Hindi Numbers or their symbols. This should also help those who are not familiar with the Hindi words for the numbers. An attempt is made to describe the patterns and identify the strengths and differences of numbers in two different languages, Hindi and English.

This study presents a grammar of Bhojpuri within the framework of the functional-typological grammar with adaptive approach developed by T. Givόn (2001a & b and 2009). Bhojpuri is an Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in the districts of central Tarai (Madhesh); namely, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Nawalparasi (East and West of Susta) and Rupandehi in Nepal as well as in the adjacent Indian territories of Western Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh, and other provinces, too. It is also spoken as mother tongue worldwide, due to indentured labour in the past and foreign employment contemporarily. The main goal of this study is to analyze the forms and functions of different grammatical categories of the Bhojpuri language and compare them to the characteristic structural features of Indo-Aryan languages from the typological perspectives. Mainly based on the field study, this grammar examines morphosyntactic structures manifesting the relationship between linguistic forms and functions at both sentence and discourse levels of the form of Bara-Parsa variety of Bhojpuri. The study is organized into 16 chapters. Chapter 1 presents major objectives of the study, literature review and significance and limitations of the study. Chapter 2 deals with the theoretical framework of the study. Chapter 3 discusses some sociolinguistic aspects as background information. Chapters 4-14 deal with different aspects of grammar of the language, viz., phonology, morphophonology, word classes, simple verbal clauses and argument structure, grammatical relations and case-marking, noun phrases and word order, tense, aspect and modality, non-declarative speech-acts, marked topics and contrastive focus, inter-clausal and referential coherence. Chapter 15 deals with typological implications of the study. Chapter 16 presents summary and conclusions. This study has revealed a number of interesting features of the Bhojpuri language. This language is used in different domains of language use with positive attitude of the speech community. East-west areal dialectal variations occur in the language along with ethnic and religious ones. There are 36 consonants and 8 oral vowels with their nasal counterparts in Bhojpuri. Bhojpuri presents different strategies such as deletion, raising, assimilation and coalescence between the preceding and succeeding segments during word formation. Morphosyntactically, Bhojpuri consistently displays nominative-accusative case-marking system. The case-markers are postpositional, but suffixed with pronominals. Tense-aspect-modality agreement markers are suffixal in Bhojpuri. Regular word order in Bhojpuri clauses is SOV with flexibility for different pragmatic uses. Non-verbal predicates are significantly used for present habitual. Passivization, reflexivization and causativization are primarily morphological in Bhojpuri. A noun phrase consists of a single noun or pronoun as the simplex one and with other elements as the complex. Bhojpuri displays two genders, two numbers and three degrees of honorificity inherent in as well as marked with nouns and finite verbs morphologically. The relative clauses occur in externally and internally headed or headless position under strategies of a gap, pronoun retention and use of different correlative pronouns to relativize different grammatical relations. The non-declarative speech acts in Bhojpuri include interrogative with polar, constituent and negative polarity questions, and manipulative with imperative and hortative constructions. Reflexive, reciprocals, insertion of dative, benefactive or associative arguments and passive constructions are used in de-transitive voices. EPCs, Y-movement, left and right dislocations, dative-shifting and raising may be utilized in marked topic constructions as well as affixes and quantifiers, contrastive strength, reference and topicality, negation and polar questions in contrastive focus. The subordinate adverbial clauses are generally marked through the special non-finite verb forms in Bhojpuri. Conjoined clauses exhibit the conjunctive, disjunctive and adversative relationships among themselves and express rejection and cause too. Complement-taking verbs include perception-cognition-utterance, modality and manipulation verbs. The referential coherence is encoded by the morphological devices in terms of grammar of pronouns and the grammatical agreement. Bhojpuri displays a number of typologically interesting features similar to and different from its neighbouring Indo-Aryan languages. This study has also revealed some striking features in the language. They may include aspirate sonorants, triphthongization, phonemic word-stress, smaller to greater order of counting upto 200, declension of adverbs in word-formation as well as for emphasis, development of genuine prefixes and infixes, allocutive agreement and absence of gender marking (in eastern variety), use of present tense copula bɑ with its negative counterpart nʌikʰe, verbless utterances in proverbs and relative clauses and clause-final plural maker particle sʌ, sʌn and jɑ with a consistent nominative-accusative pattern. The annexes include details of sociolinguistic data collection and informants in the study, map of the common Bhojpuri speech zones in Nepal and India, tables of distribution of consonants and vowel sequence and samples of the analyzed texts, followed by references.

Hindi is the official language of India and used by a large population for several public services like postal, bank, judiciary, and public surveys. Efficient management of these services needs language-based automation. The proposed model addresses the problem of handwritten Hindi character recognition using a machine learning approach. The pre-trained DCNN models namely; InceptionV3-Net, VGG19-Net, and ResNet50 were used for the extraction of salient features from the characters’ images. A novel approach of fusion is adopted in the proposed work; the DCNN-based features are fused with the handcrafted features received from Bi-orthogonal discrete wavelet transform. The feature size was reduced by the Principal Component Analysis method. The hybrid features were examined with popular classifiers namely; Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The recognition cost was reduced by 84.37%. India today is home to three types of widely-used scripts: 1-Brahmi-based Indic scripts; 2-Roman based systems used for writing Khasi, etc.; 3-Arabic and Persian based Nastaliq (Urdu) script. In addition to these, there are unexplored indigenous scripts, community scripts which are not available to wider audiences. Historically speaking, people of the Indus and Harappa civilizations also had an understanding of writing, but those writing systems have not been deciphered so far (See Kak 2007). There are no authentic records of the nature/names of scripts and languages that were taught as subjects or medium/mediums at the renowned educational institutions during the pre-Mauryan [pre-Ashoka] times at the places like Taxila, Sharada, Nalanda and so on. One of the Jataka-s informs/records that the Buddha was supposed to learn as many as sixty-four scripts. According to one theory, Brahmi is descended from the Indus-Saraswati script (See Kak. op.cit.). Brahmi script comes down to us from Ashokan inscriptions and stone engravings from the third century BCE. Kharoshthi, the other script used at that time, which was written from right to left has disappeared. Most of the Buddhist literature written in central Asia at that time used this script. A serious question to ponder is: Do Perso-Arabic and Nastaliq scripts share any structural-phonetic features with Kharashthi? Brahmi-based Indic scripts are written from left to right, the Roman script is also written from left to right. Nastaliq like its source Perso-Arabic is written from right to left. Indic scripts are alpha-syllabries or abugida where a consonant-letter except the anusvara and visarga, have a CV structure, the V in these consonant-letters is an 'a', which is deleted with the help of a diacritic mark called halanta. Deletion of the vowel 'a' in a vowel-sandhi [a-a] situation is denoted by avagraha-an elongated S like sign. The replacement of 'a' from a consonant-letter requires a matra-system in these writing systems. 'a', obviously, does not need a 'matra', all other vowel-letters need a matra. This dictionary is identified as both “practical” and “community” in its organization and purpose. It is practical in the sense that it provides a useful introduction to the lexicon (vocabulary) of Gyalsumdo for scholars with linguistic, anthropological and taxonomic interests (e.g. plant, clothing, festival, geo-spatial and food terms, etc.) or for those who want to learn more about speaking the Gyalsumdo language. It is also a community-based dictionary in the sense that we hope it is a tool that can play a role in the maintenance and survival of the Gyalsumdo language. Many of the descriptions and analyses of languages are made for the benefit of scholars, and therefore are of little use or value to the speech communities themselves. A community dictionary, on the other hand, is constructed to be useful to semi- or passive users of a language such that they may increase their knowledge of the vocabulary.

The recognition of texts from the scanned image can have various applications, which are based on optical character recognition. This paper was proposed and carefully experimented to analysis and recognize handwritten Nepali character using Convolution Neural Network. The preliminary experiment has been done with 92 thousand images of 46 different classes of 32 * 32 characters of Nepali Handwriting which went through different preprocessing stages like clipping and cropping, grayscale conversion and through different processes like feature extraction etc. The recognition has been experimented with the help of template matching technique. This proposal will employ Back Propagation algorithm along with Gradient descent algorithm will be used to update the weights, an artificial neural network training and testing. Thus, this experiment concluded that the convolution neural network model has more accuracy than the Feed Forward neural network in character recognition.

Rupee, the standard currency of India , is represented by the symbol ₹ and is locally known as रुपया rupayaa .

The Hindi term for “cents” is पैसे (paiSe) . That means, 1 rupee has 100 paise . But paise doesn’t just mean “cents” in India. It also means “money,” so it can be used to refer to any amount of money.

Every number is spelled in a unique way. However, the prefixes in every number name in the two-digit numbers (from 11 to 20) are inspired by the Hindi names of one-digit numbers (from 0 to 9).

6. Number Names for 21 to 30

With some simple observation, you can easily become familiar with the Hindi counting . For your ease, we’ve also written the names for the Hindi numbers 1-30 in English.

Another peculiar pattern is that in English numerals, “twenty” is used as the prefix whereas the word ‘बीस’ (biiS) is used as a suffix in the Hindi digits.

For example, तीन (TiiN) + बीस (biiS) = तेईस (TeiiS) . This is true for the numbers 21 to 28, but not for 29 because this uses the suffix for the 30s.

As you can see, the names of the next eight numbers depend on the preceding multiple of 10, but the name of the ninth number depends on the following multiple of 10. This works for all, except for 89 and 99, which continue to use the suffix of the preceding multiple.

Up to here, we’ve covered the Hindi numbers 1-30. The suffix in the 30s line will be ‘तीस’ (TiiS) .

7. Number Names for 31 to 40

In Hindi numbers names, one may not always find a uniform pattern as in English. Always remember that the names keep changing in a slight and subtle way.

The suffix used here is ‘चालीस’ (caaLiiS) . So, every number name in the 40s line ends with the same suffix, except for 49.

11. Number Names for 1000 to 10,000!

When you’re dealing with Hindi numbers 1000 to 2000 or above, follow the same rule as you did in the hundreds.

Simply replace the word सौ (Sau) with हज़ार (hazaar) and you’re good to go.

In the English number 4120, its number name is “Four-thousand one-hundred and twenty.” Now, you already know that the Hindi name for “four-thousand” is चार हज़ार (caar hazaar) , for “one-hundred” it’s एक सौ (Ek Sau) , and for “twenty” it’s बीस (biiS) .

There you go! You can easily figure out that the Hindi number name for 4120 would be चार हज़ार एक सौ बीस (caar hazaar ek Sau biiS) .

12. How to Say the Cardinal Numbers

• The cardinal numbers are mostly used to give a direction, address, or anything else that follows a sequence.
• Depending on the gender of the person or thing, the cardinal name will end with different sounds. Masculine words will end with a sound of aa and feminine words with the sound of ii .
• Second turn.
• दूसरा मोड़ (DuSaraa mod)
• Third story.
• तीसरी मंज़िल (TiiSarii maNziL)

13. Sharing Your Phone Number in Hindi

It’s fine to use English numbers while sharing your phone number with your colleagues. But when it comes to your neighbors, newspaperman, milkman, or maid, it’s better to break the ten digits of your number into five pairs of Hindi numbers with two numbers each.

That’s how the Indians do it generally. Another way is to break it into two pairs of Indian numbers with five numbers in each pair.

For instance, your mobile number is 9457886140.

• Going by the first method, you can tell it as 94-57-88-61-40. So, in Hindi, you’ll say it as ९४-५७-८८-६१-४० i.e. चौरानवे (cauraaNave) – सतावन (SaTaavaN) – अट्ठासी (atthaaSii) – इकसठ (IkaSath) – चालीस (caaLiiS) .
• The second way to say it is 94578-86140. So, in Hindi, it would be said as ९४५७८-८६१४०. That would be चौरानवे पाँच सौ अठहत्तर – छियासी एक सौ चालीस (cauraaNave paanc Sau atthahaTTar – chiyaaSii ek Sau caaLiiS) .

हिंदी संख्याएँ | Hindi numbers from 1 to 100

If you know Hindi language then it is very easy for you to read and memorize Hindi numbers from one to hundred. Knowledge of numbers in any language is very beneficial for speaking, buying and selling goods, increasing mutual interaction, doing business etc.

अगर आप हिंदी भाषा जानते हैं तो आपके लिए एक से सौ तक हिंदी संख्याओं को पढ़ना और याद करना बहुत आसान है । किसी भी भाषा में संख्याओं का ज्ञान होना बोलचाल के लिए, सामान खरीदने-बेचने, आपसी मेलजोल बढ़ाने, व्यापार करने आदि के लिए बहुत फायदेमंद होता है।

हिंदी भाषा पूरे भारत में बोली जाती है । जहां कम बोली जाती है वहां भी दूसरे क्षेत्रों के लोगों से संपर्क करने के लिए तो प्रयोग होती ही है । इसलिए भी हमको हिंदी को जानना और याद रखना किसी के लिए भी बहुत फायदेमंद हो सकता है।

हिन्दी संख्याओं के नाम | Hindi number names

हिंदी में संख्या को गिनती कहा जाता है । यह एक से शुरू होती है । पढ़ने और याद करने में हिंदी की संख्या अंग्रेजी के अंको की तरह ही आसान होती है क्योंकि यह लिखने में भी छोटी होती हैं ।

छोटी कक्षाओं के बच्चों को तो यह संख्या याद रखनी ही पढ़ती है । बड़ी कक्षाओं के छात्रों को भी कभी-कभी कुछ शब्दों जैसे – 49, 79 जैसे संख्याओं के उच्चारण में कठिनाई आती है । इस प्रकार संख्याओं को जानना सभी के लिए फायदेमंद है ।

एक से दस तक | hindi numbering from 1 to 10

हिंदी की 0 (शून्य) से 9 (नौ) तक की संख्याएँ मूल संख्याएँ है । इन्हीं संख्याओं से मिलकर अन्य सभी संख्या बनती हैं । जैसे 1 एक और 0 शून्य से 10 बनता है । 1 और 1 से 11 बनता है ।

Hindi numbers from 0 (zero) to 9 (nine) are basic numbers. All other numbers are made up of these numbers. E.g. 1 becomes another 0 minus 10. 1 and 1 make 11.

निबंध क्या है?

निबंध हिंदी गद्य लेखन की ही एक विधा या एक प्रकार की गद्य रचना है। निबंध में किसी भी विषय, व्यक्ति या वस्तु के बारे क्रमबद्ध तरीके से लिखा जाता है और उसके बारे में ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा जानकारी प्रदान करने का प्रयास किया जाता है। दूसरे शब्दों में अगर हम समझें, तो किसी विषय पर विस्तारपूर्वक अपने विचार प्रकट करना निबंध कहलाता है।

निबंध का अर्थ

निबंध शब्द दो शब्दों के मेल नि+बंध से बना हुआ एक शब्द है, जिसका सीधा सा अर्थ है अच्छी तरह से बँधा हुआ या जुड़ा हुआ। निबंध को अंग्रेजी में एस्से (Essay) कहा जाता है। अगर हम देखें तो हमारे सामने निबंध के कई अर्थ निकल कर आते हैं, जैसे निबंध का संबंध लेख, अभिलेख, रचना आदि सभी से है, जिसमें अपने विचारों को सरल और रोचक भाषा में एक साथ पिरौकर पाठक के समकक्ष रखा जाता है।

निबंध की परिभाषा

किसी विषय को क्रमबद्ध, सविस्तार और विवरणात्मक तरीके से अपनी भाषा शैली में तथ्यों और विचारों के साथ जोड़ने की क्रिया को निबंध कहते हैं। हिंदी साहित्य जगत के विद्वानों ने निबंध की परिभाषा को अपने-अपने अनुसार लिखा है, जो इस प्रकार है-

बाबू गुलाबराय के अनुसार- ‘‘निबंध उस गद्य-रचना को कहते हैं, जिसमें एक सीमित आकार के भीतर किसी विषय का वर्णन या प्रतिपादन एक विशेष निजीपन, स्वच्छंदता, सौष्ठव और सजीवता तथा आवश्यक संगति और सम्बद्धता के साथ किया गया हो।’’

आचार्य शुक्ल लिखते हैं- ’’यदि गद्य कवियों को कसौटी है, तो निबंध गद्य की।’’

पंडित श्यामसुंदर दास कहते हैं- ’’निबंध वह लेख है जिसमें किसी गहन विषय पर विस्तारपूर्वक और पाण्डित्यपूर्व ढंग से विचार किया गया हो।’

डाॅ. भगीरथ मिश्र ने लिखा है- ’’निबंध वह गद्य रचना है, जिसमें लेखक किसी भी विषय पर स्वच्छन्दतापूर्वक परन्तु एक विशेष सौष्ठव, संहिति, सजीवता और वैयक्तिकता के साथ अपने भावों, विचारों और अनुभवों को व्यक्त करता है।’’

निबंध के प्रकार

निबंध के मुख्य रूप से चार प्रकार होते हैं- 1. वर्णनात्मक निबंध, 2. विचारात्मक निबंध, 3. भावात्मक निबंध, 4. साहित्यिक या आलोचनात्मक निबंध।

• वर्णनात्मक निबंध- वर्णनात्मक निबंध में किसी घटना, वस्तु या स्थान का वर्णन होता है जैसे- होली, दीपावली, ताजमहल, यात्रा, खेल आदि।
• विचारात्मक निबंध- विचारात्मक निबंध में अपने विचारों के माध्यम से किसी विचारात्मक विषय जैसे- अहिंसा, बाल मजदूरी, विधवा-विवाह आदि पर निबंध लिखना होता है, जो काफी कठिन होता है।
• भावात्मक निबंध- भावनात्मक निबंध का संबंध हमारे मन के भावों से जुड़ा हुआ होता है। भावनात्मक निबंध में वास्तविक और कल्पनात्मक दोनों विषय आते हैं, जैसे- बरसात का पहला दिन वास्तविक विषय है जबकि यदि मैं भारत का प्रधानमंत्री होता एक काल्पनिक विषय है।
• साहित्यिक या आलोचनात्मक निबंध- साहित्यिक या आलोचनात्मक निबंध किसी मशहूर साहित्यकार, साहित्यिक विधा या साहित्यिक कृति पर लिखा जाता है, जैसे- मुंशी प्रेमचंद, आधुनिक हिन्दी कविता आदि।

निबंध के मुख्य अंग

निबंध के मुख्य रूप से चार अंग निर्धारित हैं, जो किसी भी निबंध के लिए काफी महत्त्वपूर्ण होते हैं। निबंध के मुख्य चार अंगों के नाम इस प्रकार हैं-

• शीर्षक- निबंध का सबसे पहला अंग होता है शीर्षक यानी कि जिस विषय पर आप निबंध लिख रहे हैं उसका नाम। आपका शीर्षक जितना आकर्षक होगा उतना ही लोगों में आपके निबंध को पढ़ने की उत्सुकता बढ़ेगी।
• प्रस्तावना या भूमिका- प्रस्तावना या भूमिका निबंध का दूसरा अंग होती है, जिसे निबंध की नींव भी कहा जाता है। प्रस्तावना से पता चलता है कि आपके निबंध की भाषा शैली कैसी है। प्रस्तावना हमेशा रोचक, आकर्षक और छोटी होनी चाहिए ताकि जो भी आपके निबंध को पढ़ रहा है उसे पूरा पढ़ने का मन करे। प्रस्तावना इस प्रकार की हो जो यह स्पष्ट कर सके कि आपके निबंध की विषयवस्तु क्या है।
• विस्तार- विस्तार निबंध का तीसरा व सबसे प्रमुख अंग होता है। विस्तार में लेखक निबंध के विषय के बारे में विस्तारपूर्वक लिखता। वह निबंध के विषय से संबंधित जानकारी को इकट्ठा करके अपनी भाषा व अपने शब्दों में लिखता है। इसके अलावा वह विस्तार में अपने विचारों को भी रखता है और निबंध को संतुलित बनाने का प्रयास करता है। विस्तार में ही निबंधकार के दृष्टिकोण का पता चलता है।

• निबंध में भाव और विचार की पुनरावृत्ति नहीं करें।
• निबंध लिखते समय उसे विभिन भागों में बाँट देना चाहिए, जिससे पढ़ने आसानी हो जाये।
• वर्तनी शुद्ध रखे और विराम चिन्हों को सही से प्रयोग करें।
• जिस विषय पर निबंध लिखा जा रहा है, उस विषय के बारे में विस्तार से चर्चा लिखे।

इन बातों को ध्यान में रखकर आप एक बहुत ही सुंदर और अच्छा निबंध लिख सकते हैं। जब आप निबंध पूरी तरह से लिख ले तो उसके बाद आप पुनः एक बार पूरे निबंध को जरूर पढ़ लें और त्रुटी की जांच कर लें, जिससे निबंध और भी अच्छा हो जाएगा।

निबंध के अंग

निबन्ध को विशेष रूप से तीन भागों में विभाजित किया गया है:

भूमिका/प्रस्तावना

उपसंहार/निष्कर्ष.

यह निबंध का सबसे पहला भाग होता है। इससे ही निबंध की शुरुआत होती है। इसमें जिस विषय पर निबन्ध लिख रहे हैं उसके बारे में सामान्य और संक्षिप्त जानकारी दी जाती है।

इसे लिखते समय यह विशेष ध्यान रखें कि यह बहुत छोटा होने के साथ ही सारगर्भित भी हो, जिससे पाठक को पढ़ते समय आनंद की अनुभूति हो और उस निबंध को पूरा पढ़े।

यह निबंध का अगला भाग है जिसमें विषय के बारे में विस्तार से चर्चा की जाती है। इस भाग को लिखते समय आपके पास जितनी भी जानकारी उपलब्ध है, उसे क्रमबद्ध करके अलग-अलग अनुच्छेद में प्रस्तुत करना होता है।

इसमें आपका क्रम पूरी तरह से व्यवस्थित होना चाहिए। हर दूसरा अनुच्छेद पहले अनुच्छेद से सम्बंधित होना चाहिए।

यह निबंध का सबसे अंतिम भाग होता है। इस भाग तक पहुँचने से पहले पूरी चर्चा पहले के अनुच्छेदों में कर ली जाती है। यहां पर पूरी चर्चा का सारांश छोटे से रूप में प्रस्तुत किया जाता है।

रामनवमी, हिंदू धर्म के सबसे पवित्र और प्रमुख त्योहारों में से एक है। यह धार्मिक त्यौहार भगवान राम के जन्मोत्सव के रूप में बड़े ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ देशभर में मनाया जाता है। चैत्र मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की नवमी तिथि को, भगवान विष्णु ने पृथ्वी से बुरी शक्तियों को मिटाने और धर्म की स्थापना करने के लिए भगवान राम के रूप में अवतार लिया था। यह पवित्र अवसर न केवल भगवान राम के आदर्श जीवन और त्याग की याद दिलाता है, बल्कि हम सभी को सत्य और धर्म के मार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा भी देता है। ऐसे में आईये जानते हैं क्या है इस पर्व का सम्पूर्ण इतिहास। 

पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, भगवान राम का जन्म अयोध्या के राजा दशरथ और रानी कौशल्या के घर हुआ था। भगवान विष्णु ने त्रेतायुग में रावण जैसे अधर्मी राजा के अत्याचारों से मुक्त कराने के लिए श्रीराम के रूप में अवतार लिया था। हिंदू धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार भगवान राम के जन्‍म को लेकर एक पौराणिक कथा प्रचलित है। वो यह है कि राजा दशरथ की तीन पत्नियां थी। उन तीनों रानियों से कोई पुत्र नहीं हुआ। तो उन्होंने महर्षि वशिष्ठ के परामर्श पर पुत्रेष्टि यज्ञ का आयोजन किया। इस यज्ञ से प्राप्त खीर को तीनों रानियों को खिलाया गया। कुछ समय बाद, तीनों रानियां गर्भवती हुईं और चैत्र मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की नवमी तिथि को कौशल्या ने भगवान राम को, सुमित्रा ने लक्ष्मण और शत्रुघ्न को और कैकेयी ने भरत को जन्म दिया।

रामनवमी पर्व के महत्व अनेक हैं, आईये जानते हैं : 

• यह त्यौहार भगवान राम के जन्मोत्सव का पावन अवसर है। 
• यह त्यौहार हमें सत्य, धर्म, कर्तव्य के पथ पर चलने की प्रेरणा देता है।
• यह त्यौहार समाज में भाईचारा, प्रेम और सद्भावना का संदेश देता है।

हिंदू धर्म ग्रथों के अनुसार अयोध्या के राजा दशरथ को पुत्र प्राप्ति की तीव्र इच्छा थी। उनकी तीनों रानियां – कौशल्या, सुमित्रा और कैकेयी को जब पुत्र की प्राप्ति नहीं हुई थी तो राजा दशरथ ने पुत्रेष्टि यज्ञ करवाया। जिसके बाद बाद चैत्र मास के शुक्‍ल पक्ष के नौवें दिन राम, भरत लक्ष्‍मण और शत्रुघ्‍न का जन्‍म दिया। उसी दिन से यह दिन राम नवमी के रूप में मनाई जाती है।

• इस दिन कई स्थानों पर राम लीला के कार्यक्रम का भी आयोजन किया जाता है। 
• दक्षिण भारत के लोग रामनवमी के दिन को भगवान राम और माता सीता की शादी की सालगिरह के रूप में मनाते हैं।

The House voted resoundingly on Saturday to approve $95 billion in foreign aid for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, as Speaker Mike Johnson put his job on the line to advance the long-stalled aid package by marshaling support from mainstream Republicans and Democrats.

In four back-to-back votes, overwhelming bipartisan coalitions of lawmakers approved fresh rounds of funding for the three U.S. allies, as well as another bill meant to sweeten the deal for conservatives that could result in a nationwide ban of TikTok.

The scene on the House floor reflected both the broad support in Congress for continuing to help the Ukrainian military beat back Russia, and the extraordinary political risk taken by Mr. Johnson to defy the anti-interventionist wing of his party who had sought to thwart the measure. Minutes before the vote on assistance for Kyiv, Democrats began to wave small Ukrainian flags on the House floor, as hard-right Republicans jeered.

How the House Voted on Foreign Aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan

Here’s how each member of the House voted on the foreign aid bills.

The legislation includes $60 billion for Kyiv; $26 billion for Israel and humanitarian aid for civilians in conflict zones, including Gaza; and $8 billion for the Indo-Pacific region. It would direct the president to seek repayment from the Ukrainian government of $10 billion in economic assistance, a concept supported by former President Donald J. Trump, who had pushed for any aid to Kyiv to be in the form of a loan. But it also would allow the president to forgive those loans starting in 2026.

It also contained a measure to help pave the way to selling off frozen Russian sovereign assets to help fund the Ukrainian war effort, and a new round of sanctions on Iran. The Senate is expected to pass the legislation as early as Tuesday and send it to President Biden’s desk, capping its tortured journey through Congress.

“Our adversaries are working together to undermine our Western values and demean our democracy,” Representative Michael McCaul, Republican of Texas and the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, said Saturday as the House debated the measure. “We cannot be afraid at this moment. We have to do what’s right. Evil is on the march. History is calling and now is the time to act.”

“History will judge us by our actions here today,” he continued. “As we deliberate on this vote, you have to ask yourself this question: ‘Am I Chamberlain or Churchill?’”

The vote was 311 to 112 in favor of the aid to Ukraine, with a majority of Republicans — 112 — voting against it and one, Representative Dan Meuser of Pennsylvania, voting “present.” The House approved assistance to Israel 366 to 58; and to Taiwan 385 to 34, with Representative Rashida Tlaib, Democrat of Michigan, voting “present.” The bill to impose sanctions on Iran and require the sale of TikTok by its Chinese owner or ban the app in the United States passed 360 to 58.

“Today, members of both parties in the House voted to advance our national security interests and send a clear message about the power of American leadership on the world stage,” Mr. Biden said. “At this critical inflection point, they came together to answer history’s call, passing urgently needed national security legislation that I have fought for months to secure.”

Minutes after the vote, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine thanked lawmakers, singling out Mr. Johnson by name “for the decision that keeps history on the right track.”

“Democracy and freedom will always have global significance and will never fail as long as America helps to protect it,” he wrote on social media. “The vital U.S. aid bill passed today by the House will keep the war from expanding, save thousands and thousands of lives, and help both of our nations to become stronger.”

Outside the Capitol, a jubilant crowd waved Ukrainian flags and chanted, “Thank you U.S.A.” as exiting lawmakers gave them a thumbs-up and waved smaller flags of their own.

For months, it had been uncertain whether Congress would approve new funding for Ukraine, even as momentum shifted in Moscow’s favor. That prompted a wave of anxiety in Kyiv and in Europe that the United States, the single biggest provider of military aid to Ukraine, would turn its back on the young democracy.

And it raised questions about whether the political turmoil that has roiled the United States had effectively destroyed what has long been a strong bipartisan consensus in favor of projecting American values around the world. The last time the Congress approved a major tranche of funding to Ukraine was in 2022, before Republicans took control of the House.

With an “America First” sentiment gripping the party’s voter base, led by Mr. Trump, Republicans dug in last year against another aid package for Kyiv, saying the matter should not even be considered unless Mr. Biden agreed to stringent anti-immigration measures. When Senate Democrats agreed earlier this year to legislation that paired the aid with stiffer border enforcement provisions, Mr. Trump denounced it and Republicans rejected it out of hand.

But after the Senate passed its own $95 billion emergency aid legislation for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan without any immigration measures, Mr. Johnson began — first privately, then loudly — telling allies that he would ensure the U.S. would send aid to Kyiv.

In the end, even in the face of an ouster threat from ultraconservative members, he circumvented the hard-line contingent of lawmakers that once was his political home and relied on Democrats to push the measure through. It was a remarkable turnabout for a right-wing lawmaker who voted repeatedly against aid to Ukraine as a rank-and-file member, and as recently as a couple of months ago declared he would never allow the matter to come to a vote until his party’s border demands were met.

In the days leading up to the vote, Mr. Johnson began forcefully making the case that it was Congress’s role to help Ukraine fend off the advances of an authoritarian. Warning that Russian forces could march through the Baltics and Poland if Ukraine falls, Mr. Johnson said he had made the decision to advance aid to Kyiv because he “would rather send bullets to Ukraine than American boys.”

“I think this is an important moment and important opportunity to make that decision,” Mr. Johnson told reporters at the Capitol after the votes. “I think we did our work here and I think history will judge it well.”

Mr. Johnson structured the measures, which were sent to the Senate as one bill, to capture different coalitions of support without allowing opposition to any one element to defeat the whole thing.

“I’m going to allow an opportunity for every single member of the House to vote their conscience and their will,” he had said.

In a nod to right-wing demands, Mr. Johnson allowed a vote just before the foreign aid bills on a stringent border enforcement measure, but it was defeated after failing to reach the two-thirds majority needed for passage. And the speaker refused to link the immigration bill to the foreign aid package, knowing that would effectively kill the spending plan.

His decision to advance the package infuriated the ultraconservatives in his conference who accused Mr. Johnson of reneging on his promise not to allow a vote on foreign aid without first securing sweeping policy concessions on the southern border. It prompted two Republicans, Representatives Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Paul Gosar of Arizona to join a bid by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia to oust Mr. Johnson from the top job.

Ms. Greene claimed the Ukraine aid bill supported “a business model built on blood and murder and war in foreign countries.”

“We should be funding to build up our weapons and ammunition, not to send it over to foreign countries,” she said before her proposal to zero out the money for Kyiv failed on a vote of 351 to 71.

Much of the funding for Ukraine is earmarked to replenish U.S. stockpiles after shipping supplies to Kyiv.

Since Russia’s invasion in 2022, Congress has appropriated $113 billion in funding to support Ukraine’s war effort. $75 billion was directly allocated to the country for humanitarian, financial and military support, and another $38 billion in security assistance-related funding was spent largely in the United States, according to the Institute for Study of War , a Washington-based research group.

Hard-right Republican opposition to the legislation — both on the House floor and in the critical Rules panel — forced Mr. Johnson to rely on Democrats to push the legislation across the finish line.

“If Ukraine does not receive this support that it requires to defeat Russia’s outrageous assault on its sovereign territory, the legacy of this Congress will be the appeasement of a dictator, the destruction of an allied nation and a fractured Europe,” said Representative Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, the top Democrat on the Appropriations Committee. “Gone will be our credibility, in the eyes of our allies and of our adversaries. And gone will be the America that promised to stand up for freedom, democracy, and human rights, wherever they are threatened or wherever they are under attack.”

Thirty-seven liberal Democrats opposed the $26 billion aid package for Israel because the legislation placed no conditions on how Israel could use American funding, as the death toll in Gaza has reached more than 33,000 and the threat of famine looms. That showed a notable dent in the longstanding ironclad bipartisan backing for Israel in Congress, but was a relatively small bloc of opposition given that left-wing lawmakers had pressed for a large “no” vote on the bill to send a message to Mr. Biden about the depth of opposition within his political coalition to his backing for Israel’s tactics in the war.

“Sending more weapons to the Netanyahu government will make the U.S. even more responsible for atrocities and the horrific humanitarian crisis in Gaza which is now in a season of famine,” said Representative Jonathan L. Jackson, Democrat of Illinois.
