हिमालय पर्वतांच्या सौंदर्य पाहून कोणी पण त्याच्या मोहात पडून जाईल. हिमालय मध्ये खूप धार्मिक आणि पर्यटन स्थळ आहेत, आणि तिथे लोक हिमालयाचे सौंदर्य अनुभवायला येतात. आज आम्ही हिमालय पर्वत वर मराठी निबंध घेऊन आले आहे, तर चला निबंध सुरु करूया.

हिमालय.

हिमालय एक अतिसुंदर पर्वत शृंखला आहे, हिमालय मधील पर्वत नेहमी बर्फाने झाकलेले असतात. ते बर्फाने झाकलेले डोंगर बघून असे वाटते जसे की ते बर्फाचे घर आहे. हिमालयातील उंच पर्वत श्रुंखलान मुळे त्याला पर्वतराज असे हि म्हटलं जाते.

हिमालय आपल्यामध्ये खूप सुंदरता दाटून बसला आहे, आणि ती सुंदर पाहण्यासाठी जगभरातून लोक भारतामध्ये हिमालायला बघायला येतात. हिमालय हा भारताचा ताज आहे, आणि तो भारताच्या उत्तर दिशे मध्ये स्थित आहे. हिमालय मध्ये खूप सारे धार्मिक आणि पर्यटक स्थळ आहेत. हिमालय च्या डोंगरांमधून खूप साऱ्या नद्यांचा जन्म होतो.

जगातील सर्वात उंच पर्वत म्हणजेच माउंट एवरेस्ट हिमालयामध्ये स्थित आहे. माऊंट एव्हरेस्ट इतका उंच आहे की त्याला बगून असे वाटते की तो आकाशाला स्पर्श करतो. ह्या पर्वतावर चढण्यासाठी जगभरातून गिर्यारोहक इथे येतात आणि ते हिमालयाची सुंदरता अनुभवतात.

कैलास पर्वत, जिथे सांगितलं जाते की महादेव शंकर भगवान स्वतः विराजमान आहेत तो पर्वत सुद्धा हिमालय मध्ये स्थित आहे. कैलास पर्वत पण खूप उंच पर्वत आहे पण कैलास पर्वत माऊंट एव्हरेस्ट पेक्षा छोटा आहे पण आज पर्यंत कोणी ही गिर्यारोहक या पर्वतावर चढू शकला नाही. हिमालया मध्ये कैलास सारखे दुसरे ही धार्मिक स्थळ आहेत जसे बद्रीनाथ, केदारनाथ, हरिद्वार आणि खूप सारे अजून आहेत तीथे भक्तांचे खूप गर्दी असते.

हिमालयाचे सौंदर्य बघण्यासाठी जगभरातून लोक इकडे येतात, काश्‍मीरमध्ये खूप सुंदर बागा आहेत आणि इकडे खूप सारे प्रसिद्ध पर्यटक स्थळ आहे. काश्मीरच्या सुंदरते मुळे काश्मीरला नंदनवन ही सांगितले जाते. हिमालय मध्ये काश्मीर सारखे कुलु मनाली, देहरादून आणि दर्जीलींग प्रसिद्ध खूप प्रसिद्ध स्थळ आहेत.

उत्तर भारत मधल्या सर्व मुख्य नद्या जसे गंगा, यमुना, ब्रह्मपुत्रा आणि सिद्ध ह्यांचा जन्मा हिमालय मध्येच झाला आहे. ह्या सर्व नद्या खूप पवित्र मानल्या जातात आणि ह्याच नद्यांचे पाणी उत्तर भारताला पुरवले जाते. उत्तर भारतामधील शेतकऱ्यांसाठी या नद्या कुठल्या वरदनाना पेक्षा कमी नाही, कारण ह्या नद्यान मुळेच इथे उत्तम शेती केली जाते. या नद्यांवरती वीजनिर्मिती सुद्धा केली जाते, आणि निर्मिती केलेली व्हिज उत्तर भारतामध्ये पुरवली जाते.

हिमालय पर्वत शृंखला केवळ आपल्या सुंदर्ते मुळेच ओळखली जात नाही तर ती आपल्या भारत देशा चे रक्षण सुधा करते. हिमालय च्या उंच डोंगरांना ओलांडून येणे शक्य नाही आणि त्यामुळे आपल्यांना शत्रूंपासून रक्षण मिळते. हिमालयाच्या उंच पर्वतामुळे ढग आढले जातात आणि त्यामुळे पाऊस पडतो जाने नद्या नेहमी वाहत राहतात आणि आपल्याला पाण्याची कमी होत नाही. जर हिमालय नसता तर आज भारत एक वाळवंट असता.

हिमालय मध्ये खूप सारे औषधांची झाडे आहेत, आणि झाडे केवळ आणि केवळ हिमालया मध्येच बघायला मिळतात कारण हिमालयाचे वातावरणच या झाडांसाठी योग्य आहे.

हिमालयाच्या सुंदरते मुळे आणि त्याच्या गुणांमुळे हिमालय आपल्या देशाचा गौरव आहे आणि मला हिमालय वर गर्व आहे.

Mountain Information in Marathi हिमालय पर्वत माहिती मराठी पर्वत म्हणजे नैसर्गिकरीत्या जमिनीपासून उंच असलेली भौगोलिक रचना होय. समुद्रासापासून उंचीनुसार पर्वत हे डोंगर व टेकडीपेक्षा उंच असतात. पर्वताचा माथा सपाट नसून सुळका अथवा शिखरा सारखा असतो. तसेच बहुतांशी पर्वत हे एखाद्या पर्वतरांगेचा भाग असतात. सर्वमान्य व्याख्यांनुसार पृथ्वीवरील २४ टक्के भूभाग पर्वतांनी व्यापला आहे. त्यापैकी आशिया खंडात ६४ टक्के, युरोप खंडात २५ टक्के, दक्षिण अमेरिका खंडात २३ टक्के ऑस्ट्रेलियामध्ये १७ टक्के तर आफ्रिकेत ३ टक्के जमिनीचा समावेश होतो. मंगल ग्रहावरील ऑलिम्पिस मॉन्स हा २१,१७१ मीटर उंची असलेला सूर्यमालेतील सर्वात उंच पर्वत मानला जातो.

पर्वतांची निर्मिती कशी होते .

पर्वतांची निर्मिती होण्याच्या प्रक्रियेला ओरोजेनेसिस असे म्हणतात. पृथ्वीच्या कवचात झालेल्या हालचालीमुळे हि प्रक्रिया घडून आली.

पृथ्वीवर निर्माण झालेल्या पर्वतांचे ३ प्रकार आहेत.

ज्वालामुखी पर्वत 

हे पर्वत जिथे २ भूखंड एकत्र येतात किंवा एकमेकांपासून दूर होतात, त्याठिकाणी ज्वालामुखी उद्रेक होतो आणि ज्वालामुखी पर्वत तयार होतात.

फोल्ड किवा घडीचे पर्वत – fold mountain

ज्या ठिकाणी भूखंड एकत्र येतात आणि ते खडकांना वरच्या दिशेला ढकलतात तिथे फोल्ड पर्वत निर्माण होतात. ज्या ठिकाणी भूपृष्टाचे आवरण कमी घनता असलेल्या भूपृष्टीय आवरणाशी एकत्रित होते, तेव्हा सागरी भूपृष्ठीय आवरणाखाली जाते. त्यामुळे भूपृष्ठीय आवरण वरच्या दिशेला सरकते. उत्तर अमेरिकेतील अपॅलाचियन पर्वत रांगांची निर्मिती या प्रकारे झाली आहे. हिमालय पर्वत हा घडीचा पर्वत आहे.

ब्लॉक पर्वत – block mountain

ज्यावेळी एखादा भूखंड २ देशांच्या मध्ये उंचावला जातो, त्यावेळी ब्लॉक पर्वत तयार होतो.

हिमालय हि आशिया खंडात पसरलेली, जगातील सर्वाधिक उंच विशाल पर्वतप्रणाली आहे. हिमालय हा एक वलय प्रकारचा पर्वत आहे. हिम म्हणजे बर्फ आणि आलय म्हणजे वास्तव्य या दोन संस्कृत शब्दांनी ‘हिमालय’ हा शब्द तयार झाला आहे. हिमालय हि एक अतिसुंदर पर्वत शृंखला आहे, कायमस्वरूपी बर्फाच्छादित असलेला पर्वत.

म्हणनूच या पर्वताला हिमालय हे नाव पडल्याचे मानले जाते. हिमालय पर्वताला भौगोलिक, आर्थिक, पर्यावरणीय, राजकीय, सामाजिक, पर्यटन, धार्मिक, भूराजनैतिक, संरक्षण आणि सांस्कृतिक दृष्ट्या अनन्यसाधारण महत्त्व आहे.

हिमालय पर्वतरांगा या पश्चिम पूर्व पसरल्या असून त्यांची लांबी सुमारे २५०० किमी आणि रुंदी सुमारे १५०-४०० किमी आहे. हिमालय पर्वतरांगांचे क्षेत्रफळ सुमारे ५,००,००० चौ.किमी. आहे. हिमालय पर्वतरांगा भारत, पाकिस्तान, नेपाळ, चीन, भूतान या देशांमधून पसरलेल्या आहेत. जगातील सर्वात उंच असलेली शिखरे हि हिमालय पर्वतरांगेत असून त्याची उंची हि ८००० मीटर पेक्षा जास्त आहे.

हिमालयातील माउंट एव्हरेस्ट हा पृथ्वीवरील सर्वात उंच पर्वत असून त्याच्या शिखराची समुद्रसपाटीपासूनची उंची ८,८४८ मीटर (२९,०२९ फुट) इतकी आहे. हा पर्वत हिमालयाच्या हिमाद्री – ग्रेटर हिमालय रांगेत नेपाल तिबेट सीमेवर आहे. त्याखालोखाल के २ आणि कांचनगंगा ह्या पर्वतांचा क्रमांक लागतो. हिमालय पर्वतरांगा हि एक अशी शृंखला आहे जी भारतीय उपखंडाला मध्य आशिया आणि तिबेटच्या पठारापासून वेगळे करते.

हिमालय पर्वत भारतीय उपखंडाच्या हवामानावर नियंत्रण राखतो. या पर्वताच्या प्रभावाने भारतीय उपखंडावर मोसमी पाऊस पडतो. आणि हिमालयाच्या उंचीमुळे उत्तरेकडून येणारे अतिथंड वारे रोखले जाऊन भारतीय उपखंड कायम उष्ण आणि उबदार राहण्यास मदत होते.

हिमालय पर्वताची निर्मिती

हिमालय पर्वत हा मुख्यत्वे गाळाने बनलेला पर्वत आहे. आणि हा पर्वत जगातील सर्वात तरुण पर्वत असल्याचे मानण्यात येते. भारतीय द्वीपकल्प हा मूळतः गोंडवन या महाखंडचा भाग होता जो साधारणपणे आजच्या दक्षिण आफ्रिकेच्या जवळ होता. हिमालय पर्वतरांगा ज्या ठिकाणी पसरलेल्या आहेत. त्या ठिकाणी पहिले टेथिस नावाचा समुद्र अस्तित्वात होता.

साधारणपणे १ कोटी वर्षापूर्वी भारत व युरेशियन प्लेट्स एकमेकांवर आदळल्याने टेथिस समुद्राचे अस्तित्व नष्ट झाले. परंतु यामुळे तयार झालेला गाळाचा भाग उंचावला गेला आणि जसा जसा भारतीय उपखंड अजून आत येत गेला तसतसा हा भाग अजून उंचावला आणि हिमालय पर्वतरांगांची निर्मिती झाली.

हिमालय पर्वत चंद्रकोरीच्या आकाराचा असून तो दक्षिणेकडे बहिर्वक्र आहे. त्याची दक्षिण सीमा ३०० मीटर उंचीची असून लांबी १५० किमी आणि उंची ८००० मीटर आहे. हिमालय हा वर्षाला साधारणपणे ५ मिलीमीटर उंच वाढतो. यामुळे हिमालयाचा भाग हा भौगोलिक दृष्ट्या अतिशय नाजूक मानला जातो.

हिमालय पर्वतरांगेतील शिखरे

हिमालयातील काही प्रमुख शिखरांमध्ये सागरमाथा हिमाल, अन्नपूर्णा, शिवशंकर, गणय्या, लँगतांग, मनस्लू, रवळलिंग, जुगल, गौरीशंकर, कुम्भू, धौलागीरी हि आहेत.

हिमालयातील नद्या / हिमनद्या

हिमालय पर्वतरांगेत अनेक नद्या उगम पावतात. आणि हिमालयातील बहुतांश नद्या बारमाही वाहतात. पावसाळ्यात होणाऱ्या पर्जन्यामुळे आणि उन्हाळ्यात वितळणाऱ्या बर्फामुळे. यामध्ये गंगा , ब्रम्हपुत्रा , सिंधू या प्रमुख नद्या आहेत. ह्या नद्या भारत, पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश व चीन मधील जवळपास १५० कोटीहून अधिक लोकांसाठी (जवळपास ३० ते ३५ टक्के) पाण्याचा मुख्य स्रोत आहे.

म्हणूनच जगातील सर्वात महत्त्वाच्या पर्वतरांगामध्ये हिमालयाचा समावेश होतो. सिंधू नदी हि जगातील सर्वात मोठ्या नद्यांपैकी एक आहे. हि तिबेटमधील मानसरोवराजवळ उगम पावते.

हिमालयामध्ये १५ हजार हून अधिक हिमनद्या आहेत, ज्यामध्ये १२००० वर्ग. किमी. इतके पाणी सामावलेले आहेत. ७२ कि.मी. लांबीची सियाचीन हिमनदी हि जगातील दुसऱ्या क्रमांकाची सर्वात जास्त लांबीची हिमनदी आहे.

उत्तराखंडातील गंगोत्री, यमुनोत्री, पिंदारी व काफनी हिमनदी, नेपाळ मधील एव्हरेस्टच्या सानिध्यातील खंबू हिमनदी ह्या काही प्रसिद्ध हिमनद्या आहेत.

हिमालय पर्वतरांगेतील धार्मिक स्थळे आणि पर्यटन स्थळे

भारतातील ऋषी मुनींच्या तपश्चर्येचे हिमालय हे प्रमुख केंद्र आहे. भारतात हिमालय पर्वताला हिंदू धर्मात देवासमान मानले जाते. महाभारतात सांगितल्याप्रमाणे स्वर्गाला जाण्याचा मार्ग हिमालयातून जातो म्हणून पांडवांची शेवटची यात्रा हिमालयातून केली होती. भारतात हिमालय पर्वतरांगेचा विस्तार जम्मू काश्मीर आणि लडाख या केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांत, हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, सिक्कीम, अरुणाचल प्रदेश या राज्यांत झालेला आहे.

हिमालय पर्वताचे सौंदर्य पाहण्यासाठी जगभरातून अनेक लोक भारतामध्ये हिमालयाला बघण्यासाठी तर अनेक गिर्यारोहक इथे चढाई करण्यासाठी येतात. हिमालयातील शिमला, नैनिताल, मसुरी, दर्जीर्लिंग हि थंड हवेची ठिकाणे पर्यटनासाठी प्रसिद्ध आहेत.

हिमालय पर्वत शृंखले मध्ये अनेक धार्मिक स्थळ आहेत. त्यामध्ये हरिद्वार, बद्रीनाथ, केदारनाथ, गोमुख, देव प्रयाग, ऋषीकेश, कैलास, मानसरोवर किंवा अमरनाथ, शाकम्भरी हि धार्मिक स्थळे प्रमुख आहेत.

कैलास पर्वत जो ऐतिहासिक पर्वत मानला जातो, जिथे भगवान महादेव स्वतः विराजमान आहेत. माउंट एव्हरेस्ट पेक्षा कमी उंच असून देखील हा पर्वत कोणताही गिर्यारोहक आजतागायत सर करू शकला नाही.

हिमालयातील वनसंपदा  

भारतातील एकूण जंगल क्षेत्रापैकी ५२ टक्के क्षेत्र हिमालयात आहे. यामध्ये ४ प्रमुख प्रकार आहेत. उष्णकटीबंधीय, उपोष्णकटीबंधीय, समशीतोष्ण आणि पर्वतीय. यामध्ये अनेक प्रकारच्या औषधी तसेच इतर उपयुक्त वनस्पती आढळतात. पर्वतीय जंगल सुमारे ३४०० मीटर उंचीवर सुरु होतात आणि पश्चिम व पूर्व हिमालयात ४५०० मीटर पर्यंत वाढतात.

• येथील अरण्यात सिंकोना, इपिकक, सर्पगंध यांसारख्या अनेक औषधी वनस्पती भरपूर प्रमाणात सापडतात.
• सफरचंद , संत्री , अलुबुखार, द्राक्ष , सप्ताळू. चेरी, अक्रोड, बदाम इत्यादीच्या बागा हिमालयात आहेत.
• विविध उपयुक्त प्राणी कस्तुरी मृग सारखे प्राणी येथे सापडतात.
• चहा हे येथील मळ्याच्या शेतीतील सर्वाधिक महत्वाचे उत्पादन असून दार्जीलिंग आणि आसाम त्यासाठी प्रसिद्ध आहे.
• दगडी कोळसा, जलोढीय सोने, चांदी, तांबे, इंद्रनील मणी, जस्त, बॉक्साईट, अभ्रक, ग्राफाईट, गंधक, इत्यादी खनिजांचे साठे हिमालयात आहेत.

हा पर्वत म्हणजे भारतीय संस्कृतीचा जन्मदाता ! भारताचा मानदंड ! युगानुयुगे अविचल उभा असलेला हा पर्वत एखाद्या योग्यासारखा आहे. डोक्यावर थंड बर्फ ठेवून तसाच शांत, निश्चल उभा असलेला हा हिमालय. एवरेस्ट, कांचनगंगा, नंदादेवी अशी अत्युच्च शिखरे असलेला हा पर्वत. 

ही शिखरे सर करण्यासाठी केवळ धाडसच हवे . हे धाडस दाखविणारे शेर्पा तेनसिंग व एडमंड हिलरी आम्हाला त्यांचा अभिमान वाटतो. हिमालयाची पौरोणिक ख्याती फार महान आहे. आर्यांचे आद्य स्थान. प्राचीन ऋषि-मुनींनी याच्याच कुशीत बसून तपश्चर्या केली होती. 

रघुवंशातील अनेक राजांनी याच पर्वतावर वास केला होता. वेदव्यासांनी याच्याच साक्षीने महाभारताची रचना केली. चंद्रगुप्ताने राष्ट्रोद्धाराचा विचार केला, तो याच हिमालयावर. पांडवांचे स्वर्गारोहण, १८५७ उठावातील क्रांतिकाकांचे आश्रयस्थान म्हणजेच हिमालय. अनेक महान नद्याचा उगम ह्याच पर्वतातून झाला आहे. 

भगीरथाने अथक परिश्रम करून गंगा मस्तकावर झेलली, ती याच्याच साक्षीने. अनेक औषधी वनस्पती, वृक्ष यांचा जन्मदाता. सिमला, मसूरी, नैनिताल, दार्जिलिंग अशी थंड हवेची ठिकाणे याच्याच कुशीत विसावलेली.

अशा हा महान हिमालय पर्वतच नसता तर. .. खरंच विचार करून बघा. हा पर्वत नसता, तर आम्हा भारतीयांच्या मस्तकावर वरदहस्त ठेवलाच गेला नसता. थंड वारे अडवून साऱ्या देशाचे रक्षण करणारा हा रक्षणकर्ताच नसता, तर आज जी भौगोलिक रचना आहे, जे भौगोलिक वातावरण आहे, ते अस्तित्वातच नसते. 

हा हिमालय एखाद्या बलशाली योध्याप्रमाणे भारताच्या उत्तर सीमेचे रक्षण करतोय. अशी ही निसर्गदत्त उत्तरसीमा नसती, तर शत्रूनी धुमाकूळ घातला असता. अशी ही उत्तुंग आमुची उत्तर सीमा नसती तर... भारतावर आधीच अनेक आक्रमणे झाली. 

अनेकांनी देशात लूटमार केली, धुमाकूळ घातला. हिमालयामुळे त्याला आळा बसला; अन्यथा आजच्या समृद्ध भारताचे चित्रच भेसूर दिसले असते. चीन, पाकिस्तान हे आपले शेजारी देश. त्यांनीदेखील आपल्या देशावर आक्रमण केलेच. पण आमच्या ह्या हिमालयातील शूर पुत्रांनी त्यांना बिनतोड उत्तर दिले. 

पर्वतकुशीत राहणारे नेहमीच शूर व काटक असतात. त्यांच्या शौर्याचा फायदा देशाला नेहमीच होतो. हिमालय नसता, तर देशाचे संरक्षण कसे झाले असते? प्राचीन समृद्धी, प्राचीन संस्कृती, प्राचीन परंपरा या देशाच्या वाट्याला आल्याच नसत्या. बारमाही वाहणाऱ्या नद्या ही हिमालयाचीच देणगी. त्यामुळे भारताचा उत्तरी भाग सुजलाम्-सुफलाम्, सश्य शामल झालाच नसता. 

गंगेसारखी पवित्र नदी म्हणजेच लोकमाता आम्हाला मिळाली नसती. भीष्मासारखे, भगीरथासारखे पुत्र निपजले नसते. पवित्र तीर्थक्षेत्रे अस्तित्वात आली नसती. तपश्चर्येचे पुण्य भाग्यात आले नसते. बर्फाच्या शीतलतेत साऱ्या चिंता शमून जाण्याचे सामर्थ्य आहे.

एवढा संपन्न, समृद्ध असा हिमालय, की ज्यापुढे कुबेराचे वैभवदेखील फिके पडेल. कोणालाही आश्रय देण्यास सिद्ध असलेला हा हिमालय सदैव सर्वांची सेवा करतो; सहायता करतो. हिमालय आमचा आहे.

The world's tallest mountain Mount Everest is also situated in the Himalayan range, it is so huge that its peak looks like it is touching the sky. Mountaineer from all around the world visit here to climb Mount Everest and to experience its beauty.

Mount Kailash where it is said that Lord Shiv exists is also situated in the Himalayan mountain range it is also a tall mountain but is smaller as compared to Everest but still, till today no mountaineer has successfully climbed it. Like mount Kailash that are many other religious places present like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Haridwar and many more were lots of devotees visit all year round.

To watch the beauty of Himalaya many tourists visit the Himalayan mountains, there are many tourist places famous in Kashmir where beautiful gardens are present. Because of the beauty of Kashmir, it is also called the Nandanvan which means paradise. Darjeeling and Kullu Manali are also very famous tourist spots.

All the major rivers in north India originate from the Himalayan mountains this river includes Ganga, Yamuna, Brahmaputra, and other tributaries. All rivers are considered as very sacred and holy. This river provides water to complete north India. For farmers in north India, these rivers are a gift of God, because of this river here farming is a major occupation and farmers do the excellent quality of farming. Hydroelectricity is also generated with the help of these rivers which lights north India.

Himalaya is not only now for its beauty but is also protects India from the other country as the tall mountains act as a barrier which is almost impossible to cross. This prevents India from attacks from the neighboring countries. And also because of the tall peak of the Himalayan mountain, there is very heavy rainfall in our country which makes rivers flow all year round with fresh water. Without Himalaya, India would have turned into a desert.

In Himalaya there are many medicinal plants found with are only grown in the specific region of Himalaya as the climate is favorable there.

There are so many advantages which the Himalayas gives us, it attracts tourist with its beauty and also protects us and feed us. Himalayas mountain range is the pride of our country.
