invalid geometry

After filling up all the conditions on bolted nozzle flange as on edx course and click on solve button error message shows with text Invalid "geometry" and Association Project - model - static structure- force.but i can't find any default on force section.anybody help please
Can you check the mesh (ie is there one) and put some pictures up?
Reply in other discussion.
Delete the two Forces from Static Structural branch.
Hide all bodies but Lower. Create a Force on the Lower.
Hide all bodies but Mid, Create a Force on Mid.
Click on Mesh and Clear Generated Data.
Click on Solve (which will mesh first).
Did that help?
When does that error message appear? Only when you click Solve?
Look in the Solution Information folder at the Solution Output. Read through the text tile and search using Crtl-F for the word Error. What is the error?
Create a Workbench Project Archive .wbpz file and attach it to your reply. I will open it up and take a look. You are using 18.2 right?
Yes I am using 18.2
You left in a Force that had a ? due to it not being finished. I suppressed that.
I added a Coordinate system for the 360/400 degree face.
I added two Symmetry Regions.
I cleaned up the contacts, which had too many bonded contacts, one that was changed to Frictional.
It now solved. I didn't check if all the inputs were correct and you get the right result, only that it solved.

The mesh you get is the result of the mesh controls and settings you use. It's possible to create a mesh that exceeds the Student node limit. Just adjust the mesh controls and settings until you come in under the limit of 32,000 nodes.
Since the model solved, your computer has a sufficient amount of memory. If you have a limited amount of RAM, the solver used the HDD for temporary storage, which made the solution take longer. If you increase the RAM in the computer, then when you solve that model again, it will solve in less time.

load definition is done using time steps. please define setup for above requirement.

Problem : Invalid Geometry and invalid assignment
Hello, I am a new Ansys User, and in a Workbench Project i have to simulate a pin-on-bearing wear : i created the geometry of both parts (Pin and Bearing) in NX 11.0 and exported the file .STEP to Ansys to simulate it. The meshing works perfectly, but when i click on solve button, i get an error message showing (Invalid "geometry"). i was first using Ansys R15 then changed to the version R19. Please tell me what i am doing wrong ? Thanks.
The image shows you used an IGES file, not a STEP file. IGES is the worst exchange format from NX 11 to ANSYS.
It is best to export a Parasolid out of NX 11 and then in DesignModeler, Import External CAD Geometry.

If I assign a material to Geometry, then Geometry is also checked and the solve runs with no errors. But I want to assign two different materials for the two groups. Is there a way I could fix that?
